Tiffany was referring to the fact that women are still treated unfairly today, even in 2016. Women are not given the opportunity to succeed at everything they put their mind to. Tiffany believed that if her parents would have supported her more, she might have continued on the path to be a successful actress. Instead, her parents did not allow her to pursue her dream and she ended up marrying a man that did not share the same vision.
This end up being a very bad decision that resulted in them having four children while she continued to work as an actress. The fact that Tiffany fell over the edge is quite ironic considering she was pregnant at the time of her death.
